wwwwMy fingers were landing in the wrong place
wwwwthe voices teasing on the rosewood board,
wwwweach not just to be quite found
wwwwand breaking under cracking joints

wwwwMy fingers were landing from the wrong place
wwwwbut found eager nerve-ends,
wwwwmisinterpreting as pleasure the false joy
wwwwof inaccuracy. Forgive me, Miss Perception

wwwwAlways the same touch, the same voice,
wwwwlost in the braying entrails of sound
wwwwand loudest in the language of its silence
