I am balanced on thin water
letting the words breathe
innocently floating and
mocking my senses
filling like boxes
each finding its blackness
searching the tundra
of unforeseen thoughts
relentlessly scratching and
defining an identity,
aimless words awash with calm
indecision and layered uncertainty.
I carve away the spaces
until I am left
with hard liquid words
each of them biting
the moulds that make them
still too fluid to be broken
